Shoe Of The Day: Asymmetric Flat Sandals by Zara

Zara have won again this summer with some ridiculously simple but fabulous sandals at a brilliant price. What I want most from a summer sandal is for it not to kill my feet and to be a fab colour. And because we can't predict how many days of summer we'll have, they can't break the bank.
These sandals are £22.99.

£22.99.

Amazing.

Of course at that price they're not leather but what matter. They come in this gorgeous bright green, coral and what Zara call Lime Green but is clearly yellow.

All sizes are available online and well worth a look. At that price, you could even have all three!

Shoe Of The Day: 'Itsy Bitsy' by Office

It is very rare that I will share a shoe with you that's nearly sold out online BUT if you have a branch of Office near you, I implore you to go in and see if they have your size because these are great. From the deep coral colour to the butterfly-esque cutout detail to the fact that flats are far kinder to your feet when it's warm than heels, well dear reader, Itsy Bitsy has stolen a huge chunk of my shoe loving heart.

Oh and they're only £35. Which when you consider we may only get 3.5 days of sunshine this year, is quite ok.

Shoe Of The Day: 'Angie P' by Lola Ramona

Pretend for a moment that British Summer Time exists like it would in a Richard Curtis film. Everything is green and lush, the sky is a deep cerulean cloudless expanse, the Pimm's is ever flowing and cricket whites stay startlingly white. Then imagine that you have the most perfect dress that's just the right length and cut - perhaps with pleating that never drops, definitely a vague 50s Grace Kelly vibe - and that you have these shoes on your feet. Of course you bump into a charming Colin Firth type at your second cousin's wedding where you've had to go on your own and of course you go on a date that's a bit awkward but utterly charming and leads to a series of misunderstandings which in turn lead to a Happy Ever After.

Essentially, I'm saying that I love these shoes for the colours, the dots, the scalloped edging, the bow and the peep-toe and if I don't have them on my feet soon, I will cry.

Shoe Of The Day: Floral Trainer by Anna Field

A bit of casual summer florals for you today courtesy of German fashion label Anna Field. I'd never heard of them before but when I spotted these pretties on Zalando, I was rather taken. I cannot be without at least three pairs of light plimsoll type trainers for the summer and these floral ones will look great with lots of things in my wardrobe.

If you want a splash of pattern but don't want to be overwhelmed, these are the perfect way to inject a bit of variety into a plain outfit. I'm thinking some denim shorts and a plain white vest top, maybe accessorised with a nice cold Pimm's. Lovely.

Shoe Of The Day: Mattijs x United Nude Fan

I know, right?

I have spent a lot of time looking at this ridiculously beautiful sculpture of a shoe which is the result of a collaboration between Dutch brand United Nude and fashion designer Mattijs van Bergen for his S/S12 collection. He's touted as one of the up and coming designers to watch and it's easy to see why from this collaboration and his own collections.

They look like superhero shoes. They would also possibly be the shoe to tip me over the edge and into disco pants. That's how super they are. They're also £480 which is not so super but hey, a girl can dream.

Shoe Of The Day: Poisonberry by Kurt Geiger

Nnnnngggg.

That's the sound I made when I saw these 'Poisonberry' shoes on Kurt Geiger's website the other day. I'm not normally such a sickly sweet pink person (seriously, it does look a bit like indigestion medicine) but when I saw it with the flash neon yellow heel and mint green sole, I was bowled over.
Yeah, you feeling them? I'm really into the little flashes of neon that are coming in for Spring/Summer 13. I blame watching the Olympics and then bingeing on the DVD. As my friend Lesley says, "neon makes you go faster". Even in heels.

It's the detail on the heel as well that take these a step above, even in the black.
In a world where kitten heels are sneaking back in and people STILL think Crocs are acceptable, this design  delight is like a palate cleansing sorbet. I loves them.

Shoe Of The Day: Zoe by Miista

This is a bit of a cheat because I'm now selling these at work. But the main reason we are selling them is  because I totally fell in love with them when the Miista rep came to see us. This is like a piece of art on a shoe and I cannot wait for the weather to get a bit better so I can wear the ALL THE TIME.

Seriously. LOOK.
Each pair is different - the pair I love has slightly more of the blue tones (not THE Blutones) in them which will fit with more of my summer wardrobe. They're a bit of an investment at £114.99 but I reckon you'll get more wear from them than you think. Picture it - skirts, capri pants, massive sunglasses, an oh so casual but chic scarf that you managed to tie just right. Brilliant.

NES... Makes A Very Overdue Comeback

So you may (more likely, not!) have noticed that I've been VERY quiet of late. Well that's because being a stay at home mum and all that entails wasn't the cakewalk I thought it would be.

So I got myself a new job. Working for a local shoe shop as their online manager. It is possibly a job that was made for me and now that I've settled in a bit, I can get back to doing things that I love like blogging about brilliant shoes and snarking on awards season fashion. The Golden Globes are on Sunday and I will be all over the red carpet wins and fails like a rash.

In the meantime though, I'm back here and you can also find me over at Tinfish Shoes' blog where I'll be doing Actual Work but still some very fun stuff indeed.
